How to Evaluate a Brain Supplement

Use the same six-step process whether the product is ProMind Complex or another cognitive-support formula.

Health information: This site is educational and does not provide medical advice. Dietary supplements can have side effects and interactions. Discuss supplement use with a qualified healthcare professional, especially if you take medication, are pregnant or nursing, or have a medical condition.
  1. Read the current label. Record serving size, ingredients and exact amounts.
  2. Write down the actual claim. “Supports memory” is different from implying treatment of a disease.
  3. Find evidence that matches. Compare population, ingredient form, dose, duration and measured outcome.
  4. Check safety. Include medication interactions, contraindications and adverse effects.
  5. Calculate cost per serving. Ignore bundle optics until the basic economics are clear.
  6. Audit the seller's confidence. Stronger claims require stronger evidence.

Regulatory context

FDA explains that structure/function claims for supplements are not pre-approved and must be truthful and non-misleading; disease claims are treated differently. FTC guidance says objective health-product claims need adequate substantiation.
